Mars in Capricorn, Moon in Sagittarius Compatibility

Flickr photo by badjonni via Creative Commons license

Capricorn acts within the limits, while Moon in Sagittarius needs to explore beyond the limits. Capricorn may feel dull and controlling to Sag–the more he tries to impress her with his authority, the less interested she’ll be. However, both these signs want progress, so this could be a commonality that ties them together.

Mars in Capricorn follows the rules. He’s ambitious and driven, but you won’t find him breaking with tradition. His classic and conservative approach to courtship means that his lover can rely on him. Mars in Capricorn won’t do anything crazy, and he always follows through on his intentions. His ideal partner would be ok with him taking the reins of the relationship, because he asserts himself by taking control.

Moon in Sagittarius needs room to follow whatever takes her fancy. In her heart, she’s a wanderer, even if she’s in a committed relationship. Moon in Sag does best with a lover who accepts her laid-back approach to life. She feels passionately, but her optimism and humor can come off as uncaring at times, when she doesn’t take things seriously. She refuses to get caught up in worries or dark feelings. She feels most secure when there’s something new to discover, preferably with her partner. But if her partner’s not interested, she’s just as happy to go exploring on her own.

Mars in Capricorn’s best efforts will fail to impress Sagittarius. She’ll find him amusing, but she won’t care about the goals (like status and achievement) that drive him. If other aspects between their charts suggest chemistry, they might try to make a go of it. But there will always be tension between Capricorn’s efforts to maintain his authority and Sag’s complete disregard for his authority (and much of what he takes seriously). However, Capricorn’s ambition and Sagittarius’ need for expansion can be a point of compatibility, if they develop tolerance for each other’s differences. Capricorn can help Sagittarius manifest some of her hopes, putting in the practical work to make them happen. And Sagittarius can use her unfailing optimism to support him if he becomes discouraged.

Mars in Sagittarius, Moon in Sagittarius Compatibility

Flickr photo by badjonni via Creative Commons license

Here’s an ultra-hot couple with a lust for exploration. Mars in Sagittarius’ spontaneous actions will satisfy his Moon partner’s need for the same. Her inner traveller will join Mars for the adventure of a lifetime.

Mars in Sagittarius pushes the boundaries. He knows there’s more out there, and it’s his mission to discover the unexplored country. While he’s at it, Mars in Sag will push his lover’s boundaries. He’ll trample over any issues (in and out of the bedroom) that he considers to be petty or restrictive. While he does this with a winning smile and playful attitude, not all partners can handle his brand of honesty. His best match is someone who isn’t oversensitive or controlling.

In her heart, Moon in Sagittarius needs an escape route. She may be straight-laced on the surface (depending on her Sun sign) but underneath she craves open horizons. Moon in Sag can be in the most loving relationship, but she’ll only be truly satisfied (and secure) if she feels that she has the freedom to step out. And she may never take that step, if she’s with the right partner. What this might look like is an understanding lover who allows her time and space to explore new things, while joining her on the occasional adventure.

There will be an immediate attraction between these two, with Mars in Sag taking the lead. Moon in Sagittarius will meet each of his passionate, unpretentious actions with an equally warm and enthusiastic response. The relationship will accelerate quickly, since neither partner likes to take things slow. And why should they? They’ve met their match with each other. Mars’ desire for an honest, unfettered life will suit his Moon partner perfectly, since that’s exactly what she needs.

Mars in Scorpio, Moon in Sagittarius Compatibility

Flickr photo by badjonni via Creative Commons license

Flickr photo by badjonni via Creative Commons license

Mars in Scorpio’s intense moves will feel heavy to buoyant Moon in Sagittarius. Sag needs to feel that things are constantly opening up, while Scorpio spirals inwards, seeking inner extremes with his actions and sexual energy. However, both these signs are explorers, albeit in very different ways.

Mars in Scorpio is the deep sea diver, slowly and deliberately sinking into the heart of his relationship. His actions will push himself and his partner to the limits of physical and emotional intimacy, because this is how Mars in Scorpio learns about his motivations. His intensity is a vehicle for understanding — he discovers things about himself, and uncovers his lover’s secrets. This is not a quick or easy process, so his level of commitment is extreme.

Moon in Sagittarius needs a relationship with new horizons. Whether she’s travelling literally or metaphorically, she feels secure when there’s something new to explore — and, when she has the freedom to explore. Moon in Sagittarius would not be comfortable with a jealous or controlling partner. However, her relaxed attitude and focus on the future makes her quite tolerant of her lover’s day-to-day quirks.

Mars in Scorpio will push Sagittarius to reveal more, and she’ll find him intrusive. The harder he tries to to forge an intimate bond, the more trapped she’ll feel. But both partners are interested in discovery, and if other aspects between their charts pull them together, this could be something they bond over. Moon in Sagittarius’ accepting attitude will help immensely, if she decides to accept that Scorpio is obsessively focused. Sag can help Scorpio gain some perspective, and Scorpio can encourage Sag to face uncomfortable issues she glosses over. As she looks upwards and he delves inwards, they can create a dynamic relationship that’s deep and wide-ranging.

Mars in Libra, Moon in Sagittarius Compatibility

Flickr photo by badjonni via Creative Commons license

Flickr photo by badjonni via Creative Commons license

Mars in Libra’s charming approach will touch Moon in Sagittarius’ optimistic heart, resulting in a dynamic, cheerful couple. Sag needs her own space, and Mars in Libra will give her this. Although his primary drive is to be part of a couple, once he’s in a relationship, he’s uncomfortable if things get too intense.

Mars in Libra will pull out all the stops to initiate a romance. But once he’s got what he wants, he finds it easier to commit if things don’t get too heavy. He’ll do what it takes to keep his partner happy, but Mars in Libra will avoid direct conflict and emotional scenes. This doesn’t mean he’s a relationship lightweight, but it does mean that he’s best suited to a partner who understands his distaste for intensity. Also, his lover should accept that while he may instinctively flirt with (and be attracted to) others, this doesn’t devalue his commitment to her.

Moon in Sagittarius needs something to look forward to. She’s most comfortable when there’s a sense of “more” on the horizon, and when her partner is ready to join her on the journey. Moon in Sag will lift her partner up with her good moods, but she’ll become restless and unhappy if she feels restricted. Her laid-back approach to most things may rub her partner the wrong way, if he thinks she’s mocking something that’s important to him.

Mars in Libra’s romantic efforts will seem a bit precious to Sagittarius, because she really doesn’t care about all the frou-frou. But she will be drawn to Libra’s charm, and she’ll appreciate that he always knows when to back off and give her room. Mars in Libra will sense that Sagittarius is not overly concerned with the whole couple thing, and this will encourage him to try even harder. But they’ll make it work, because her relaxed attitude will be just what he wants. If someone else does catch his eye, she won’t panic or blow it out of proportion. Together, they’ll create a fun-loving union where each has room to be themselves.

Mars in Virgo, Moon in Sagittarius Compatibility

Flickr photo by badjonni via Creative Commons license

Flickr photo by badjonni via Creative Commons license

Mars in Virgo will be too fussy for Moon in Sagittarius. Sag will find Virgo annoying as he tries to make things perfect, and Virgo will become frustrated when he realizes that Sagittarius just doesn’t care.

Mars in Virgo makes every effort to ensure that his partner is taken care of. His attention to detail and drive for improvement means that he brings his A game to the relationship. Mars in Virgo is energized by crises, because this means he can step in and apply his solutions. This works well when there’s an actual crisis, but it can backfire when he starts looking for things to fix, and creates a problem where none existed.

Moon in Sagittarius needs to have options. One of those options includes being in a relationship, or not. Even if she is deeply in love and committed to her partner, Moon in Sag needs to feel like she has the freedom to come and go. This doesn’t mean she’ll stray, but she will feel suffocated in a partnership with rigid rules. If her partner doesn’t understand her, her cheerful, laid-back energy can be misinterpreted as not caring about anything.

Mars in Virgo will attempt to impress Sagittarius with his skillful solutions. She may be curious about this eccentric guy with his fussy habits, but she won’t feel at ease. Once Virgo realizes that Moon in Sagittarius could care less about his efforts, he’ll try even harder, and may even become angry. Doesn’t she see how he could make her life better? The more he pushes, the more she’ll feel suffocated and (eventually) irritated. This is not an easy match, but if other aspects between their charts pull them together, they will need to make an effort to understand what is most important to each other. This will be a constant source of irritation between them.

Mars in Gemini, Moon in Sagittarius Compatibility

Flickr photo by badjonni via Creative Commons license

Flickr photo by badjonni via Creative Commons license

The passion between these opposite signs will always be fresh, as Mars in Gemini’s wit excites Moon in Sagittarius’ need for new and exciting. Gemini will throw out edgy remarks, and Sagittarius will meet his challenge with her uninhibited sense of humor. These two will utter an ever-evolving stream of risqué replies that may offend other people, but will suit this couple just fine.

Mars in Gemini wants to get the conversation started. With the right person, he’ll keep talking. His conversation will consist of fast-moving observations, new ideas and sexual innuendos, because Mars in Gemini thrives on the exchange of information. All information is acceptable, but edgy, naughty and new is preferred. However, nothing turns him off faster than dwelling the on the same subject for an extended period of time. He’s great at touching on multiple possibilities, but sustained focus is not his strength.

Moon in Sagittarius needs room to breath. Freedom is a must in her relationship, and that includes emotional and physical freedom. Moon in Sag feels most secure when she can wander, although she’s capable of committing to a partner (as long as he doesn’t fence her in). But even in the most stable relationship, she’ll need something new to explore. When she feels that her partner is open to who she is, she’ll reward him with an equal amount of acceptance and laid-back, generous love.

Mars in Gemini’s off-color remarks will delight Sagittarius. She loves a dirty joke, and her openness will encourage Gemini. He’ll make pointed observations that are designed to grab her attention, and she’ll run with whatever he says. But it will be about more than innuendo between these two. They’ll also explore any random ideas and activities that grab their interest. Together, they’ll feed each other’s desire for newness with a conversation that never ends.

Mars in Taurus, Moon in Sagittarius Compatibility

Flickr photo by badjonni via Creative Commons license

Flickr photo by badjonni via Creative Commons license

Mars in Taurus’ slow and steady approach may be too slow for Moon in Sagittarius. She needs freedom, plus a sense that she’s moving forward, while Taurus wants to stay put. However, if other connections draw them together, Taurus can be the grounding influence, and Sagittarius can show him that there’s a big world beyond his carefully crafted boundaries.

Mars in Taurus digs in and fortifies his home. Once he establishes a relationship with his partner, he’ll work on establishing a base that’s strengthened by his routines. He knows the best actions to build his resources, so Mars in Taurus is a pro at providing for himself and his lover. But he’s also reluctant to change something once it works. His partner will have difficulty coaxing him to try anything new (or admitting that his way isn’t the only way).

Moon in Sagittarius needs to explore. Whether she’s travelling, learning, or checking out new restaurants, she’ll only be happy if she can continually grow beyond her existing boundaries. This means that Moon in Sag will not be content to sit at home, and her partner should understand that she’ll find traditional domestic life boring. Having said this, she is capable of building a domestic relationship, as long as she has room to move (and her partner handles the practical duties). When she’s feeling satisfied, she can be a laid-back, accepting partner.

Mars in Taurus will want to establish a nest, and Moon in Sagittarius will need to escape that nest. She’ll find his stubbornness frustrating and his routines suffocating. Taurus may try to clamp down on his restless partner as his possessive urges kick in, and this will only serve to drive her away. If these two want to make it work, they’ll have to compromise. Taurus can stay at home and hold down the fort, while Sagittarius goes off on her adventures. He’ll have to trust that she’ll return, which she will, as long as he doesn’t demand it. Mars in Taurus can construct the foundation, and Moon in Sagittarius can infuse their lives with variety. As a bonus, both of these signs can be quite mellow (when they’re happy) so if they reach a place of mutual acceptance, this can be a relaxed union.

Mars in Aries, Moon in Sagittarius Compatibility

Flickr photo by badjonni via Creative Commons license

Flickr photo by badjonni via Creative Commons license

When Mars in Aries’ aggression meets Moon in Sag’s need for adventure, the resulting combustion will propel this relationship forward. Aries wants to start something (anything) and Sagittarius needs to keep it going—forever. These two will continually urge each other forward, towards more exciting territory.

Mars in Aries creates challenge. He expresses his will and passion by pitting himself against something or someone. A successful partnership with this warrior will involve a lover who understands his desire for excitement, while providing fuel for his fire. Mars in Aries wants someone who will not back down when he pushes forward.

Moon in Sagittarius needs possibilities. She feels safe and satisfied in an environment that would make many feel insecure; she craves continual expansion and new ideas to investigate. Moon in Sag can live quite happily in a domestic relationship, as long as her lover makes it clear that he does not expect her to fill a traditional role. Her relaxed approach to daily living can be mistaken for laziness, but in reality, she’s so concerned with the big picture that she overlooks the practical details.

Moon in Sagittarius will meet Aries’ assertive expression of desire with open arms. The more he throws at her, the more enthusiastically she’ll respond. She’ll take his pushiness and impulsiveness in stride (while urging him on) and he’ll respond to her encouragement with even more force. The result will be a growing bonfire that keeps this relationship passionate and vital.
