Pluto turns retrograde on Thursday. If you have any major placements in your birth chart between 14 and 20 degrees of the Cardinal Signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn), Pluto has been slapping you in the face one way or another since about mid 2016. Brace yourself for more slaps between now and early 2018. Remember that the slower a planet, the longer the retrogrades, and Pluto will be retrograde until the end of September. If you’re tired of hearing people complain about Mars in Taurus, good news arrives on Friday, as Mars enters Gemini. On the one hand, this is a great time for getting out and pumping some fresh energy into your social life. On the other hand, Mars plus Gemini often equals “verbal aggression.” You’ll need to be a little more cautious than usual about the sharpness of your words between now and early June, when Mars enters Cancer and you’ll be able to successfully sulk over your injuries.

The weekend dating scene is dominated by Moon in Pisces on Friday and Saturday. This is a tremendous placement for empathy, sympathy, and commiserating with others. You may find you have to do a lot of that this weekend, because Venus square Saturn hovers over the entire weekend like a big, mopey cloud of bummertude. Okay, maybe it won’t be that bad (Moon in Pisces can often be overly-optimistic), but this is probably not the weekend to expect something new, lasting and long-term to begin.
