Love Horoscope for the Week of February 27

There has been an influence at work for the last couple of months that is exact again this week — Jupiter in Libra opposite Uranus in Aries. You may have found during this time that you got some brilliant ideas, came up with some much-needed breakthroughs, and were able to find new ways to face long-standing issues. You may have also found that you had a heck of a time holding things together and finding a sense of stability. This week’s exact opposition might bring you a double dose of both the positive and negative sides of this aspect.

That sense of agitation you’re going to be feeling on Monday (and throughout the first part of the week) may not be a hangover from Sunday’s Eclipse, or because you lost a bet on the Oscars. Mars opposite Jupiter is exact on Monday. That’s the sort of aspect that can cause a lot of annoyance, agitation, and impatience. It can also pump up the sex drive, so remember: there are ways to work out your frustrations.

Any decent Buddhist will tell you that the Ego is your enemy, but it’s not necessarily the kind of enemy that can just be taken out back and beaten up. If you have a need to take yourself less seriously (or just love that spiritual groove that comes from realizing your True Place in the Universe), then Sun conjunct Neptune (exact on Wednesday) is ideal for your purposes. Take yourself less seriously and laugh off the daily insults that life on the material plane can deliver.

A special note about weekend dating this week: finding the right person for you depends on both your chart and theirs, and also the transits each of you are having. One really helpful thing in your quest can be where Venus is at the time and what shape it’s in. Venus turns retrograde early on Saturday. Now that may not sound like the best of circumstances to you (and admittedly, there are better times for love, all else being equal). But this means that in the latter part of the week Venus is stationary. A stationary planet is a powerful one, and (again, all else being equal) this makes Friday a particularly powerful time for either finding a potential new partner or boosting the romance in an existing relationship. Just make sure your quest for someone new starts on Thursday, because the Moon is Void of Course for almost the entire day on Friday. If nothing else, get out there and chat someone up on Saturday and Sunday, when the Moon in Gemini lends a spark to the conversation.

Will he come back? (new chart)

Will he come back? Will we be together again (romantically)?

I am Mercury, in 6th house, conjuncting Sun and Moon.
He is Jupiter (retrogard) in second house.

J&M trine in 7 degrees, but separate.

Can the outcome be positive if the planets separate?

Mars in Capricorn, Moon in Cancer Compatibility

Flickr photo by badjonni via Creative Commons license

Mars in Capricorn will take control of this relationship. Capricorn is a father archetype, and Cancer is the child. This couple will gravitate towards these roles, and it should work out for them, as long as Moon in Cancer doesn’t become too dependent on her Capricorn protector.

Mars in Capricorn is the guy in charge. A prospective partner may underestimate him at first, because he doesn’t advertise his strength. Mars in Capricorn is reserved, but relentlessly determined. His all-work-and-no-play approach can come off as a bit dry, but what he lacks in swoony romance he makes up for with focused intent. Once he determines that a potential relationship is a go, he’ll be the lover who gets things done, and gets them done right.

Moon in Cancer needs to be looked after. Although she’s not inherently helpless, her core needs (which are strengthened by this sign’s rulership of the Moon) involve nurturing and security. She is most comfortable with a partner who makes her feel safe, loved and wanted. When this is distorted, she can be a needy, demanding lover. The flip side to Moon in Cancer’s neediness is her ability to take on the mother role. She needs to be needed, just as much as she requires soothing hugs. Ultimately, she does best when she feels secure enough to shift between a moderate version of these two roles.

Mars in Capricorn will be drawn to Cancer’s soft core. He’ll sense that she needs a protector, and she’ll respond to his strength and certainty. The attraction will be based on the pull of opposites. As the relationship progresses, they may slip into exaggerated versions of themselves. Capricorn could become extremely controlling, while Moon in Cancer gives up her power. But if Cancer has developed her inner security to the point where she can reflect Capricorn’s outer security, the relationship will be more balanced. Cancer will provide the empathetic love that polishes some of Mars in Capricorn’s harder edges. He’ll relax when he’s around her, and allow himself to be looked after (although no one outside of the relationship will see this).

Love Horoscope for the Week of February 20

Two aspects involving Mercury will make your words and thoughts particularly sharp and powerful this week. That’s a good thing, because there are a couple of transits happening that will make for potential explosions.

Monday is President’s Day in the United States, during which Americans celebrate their hallowed history with furniture sales and big, big discounts. Make sure you buy that new stereo system before 6:37 PM Eastern/3:37 PM Pacific (when the Moon goes Void of Course).

Monday also features Mercury sextile Uranus, so perhaps your negotiating skills will get you an even better deal… or may help you find a creative way to hook those speakers up to all your TVs and computers and such. Believe me, that sort of thing isn’t nearly as easy as you might think. Mercury trine Jupiter (exact on Tuesday) will help you take that Mercury-Uranus cleverness and craft it into something big and bold and possibly quite wonderful. Since Jupiter is the natural ruler of commitments, those of you in long-term relationships might be able to breathe a little new life into things.

The heavy hitter of this week’s transits is Mars square Pluto, which is exact on Wednesday but hovers over the entire week like a big angry bear. Astrologers are supposed to be all positive and sunshine-y about things whenever possible (I’m told), but there’s no way to sugar-coat this one. Tempers will flare. Blood pressures will be elevated. If you absolutely must lash out at your enemies, make sure you are justified… and make sure you have conquered The Enemy Within first.

If you’re planning a date for Saturday night, Moon in Pisces will be an added sweetener. Play into that mood with an extra dose of romantic gestures, kind words, and gently-lit settings.

Well, gosh, that was an exhausting week, wasn’t it? Time to kick back on a lazy Sunday and enjoys the Oscars. Oh, wait… Solar Eclipse! That’s right, the New Moon on Sunday (mere hours before the Oscars are presented) is also a Solar Eclipse at 8 degrees Pisces, and comes with a side order of Mars conjunct Uranus. If you’ve read my work here for a while, you know that I usually treat a New Moon as a great time to make affirmations for yourself in the following month. I think a New Moon/Solar Eclipse is a particularly powerful time to start making some big changes. That’s the good news. The bad news? As always, keep in mind that the effects of an Eclipse linger long past the day they happen, and if 8 degrees Pisces is making a major aspect to an important point in your chart? Brace yourself for impact somewhere in the next few months…

Mars in Capricorn, Moon in Gemini

Flickr photo by badjonni via Creative Commons license

Mars in Capricorn’s defined actions will sit uneasily with Moon in Gemini’s need for flexibility. Gemini will feel that Capricorn is uptight, and Capricorn will find Gemini to be annoyingly scattered. This awkward pairing will require awareness and willingness to adjust, from both partners.

Mars in Capricorn has a set course of action. Once he has a romantic goal in mind, he applies his considerable ambition and determination to achieve it. He wants to impress his lover with proof of how successful he is, and will be. This involves direct, focused actions. However, for all his assertiveness, Mars in Capricorn is extremely cautious. He does not enter into a relationship lightly. Commitment is his end game.

Moon in Gemini needs variety. This Mercury-ruled Moon is most secure with a lover who openly discusses everything, because she processes her feelings by talking about them. Moon in Gemini’s short attention span and shifting moods can be frustrating for the lover who wants consistency. She’s uncomfortable with rigid routines and deep conversations, preferring to touch lightly on whatever topic feels right, and then move on. However, this also makes her a lively partner who’s always ready to update (or reboot) her relationship.

Mars in Capricorn’s efforts to impress Gemini will fall flat. She may view him as boring, and he’ll quickly sense that she has no patience for his actions-speak-louder-than words approach. That may be the end of their story. However, if other aspects in their charts create sufficient chemistry, these two could give it a shot. Capricorn will have to accept that Gemini’s chattering (which he finds so annoying) is essential for her well-being. And her lack of structure is simply part of who she is. Mars in Capricorn can take charge of this relationship (he wants to be the boss, anyway) and keep the whole thing running efficiently. Meanwhile, Moon in Gemini may find it satisfying to pursue her own interests, since she won’t have to worry about the practical issues. But, she will be happy with the fact that Mars in Capricorn keeps the union moving forward — these two will never stagnate together.

Will we have sex again?

Hello. I phone a guy I went on a date and we meet up and we go to his house and we have sex. I am glad I did because I was worried about it and now I have I want to see him again. He ask me if it was first time and I told him I am into meditating and had previously had sex with a incubus. He ask me what it is and I told him it was over but he called me weird. I only meditate for peace now I want to know if what I did and said has hurt our relationship forever now?

I am looking at the chart and it is yes because I am Saturn and he is the sun. The sun is in my first house but does this mean I am thinking about him or he like me?

We will be together again but do I need to do or say anything?

Just another read my chart

Hi guys, since I have just started peeking at astrology two weeks ago, I have really no business giving interpretations of my own so I have to learn with the seasoned.

The first chart is just a standard chart, I have added Juno just because it is so tight with Pluto (0º5’13" if i calculated correctly) and from what I have looked, it makes in my humble opinion an interesting conjunct with black moon lilith (that is also in conjunct with Pluto)

The second chart is just me playing around with all charts one by one, and I saw this what may look like a 6 point star? First the Grande Water Trine between Mars-Jupiter-Pluto and another Trine Mercury-Uranus-Necessity, I know Necessity is not a planet and shouldn’t apply but what the heck, I found it interesting, maybe someone else will too…

As for fixed stars, only relevant two in conjunct with ascendant Rigel and Capella

Feel free to chat with me, and please don’t hold back if it’s for the good of learning 😎

Synastry vs Composite

I’ve connected with a new romantic prospect via Internet and phone. Our synastry overlay is very powerful–and includes a Grand Square. But composite relationship chart is just average–and lacks solid connections with my personal planets. What does it mean? All things considered, is this a good match with a prospective life partner?

Love Horoscope for the Week of February 13

Congratulations on surviving last week’s Lunar Eclipse! See, nothing much terrible happened, did it? Surely if that’s the case, then this week ought to be perfectly… oh, wait. Valentine’s Day. Don’t worry, I’m sure we’ll survive that, too.

The early part of the week is dominated by Sun sextile Saturn. When you’re talking to the average astrologer, Saturn doesn’t get mentioned a lot without there being some sort of bad news attached (unless of course you’re talking to one of those “everything happens for a reason” types — in which case, slap ’em one for me). But Sun sextile Saturn can be really constructive and can help you impose a sense of order on your life… which is a good thing, because there’s a good chance you or a loved one will be dropping the ball on Valentine’s Day.

Yes. Tuesday is Mandatory Romance Day. The Moon will be in Libra (insert mandatory “partnership sign” comment here), but during the course of the day it will be making hard aspects to both Mars and Pluto. Emotional demands will be louder and less civil than usual, and when you combine this with the expectations that come with V Day, it could be a challenging day for your love life. Ever heard that old line about nuclear war… “the living will envy the dead”? With Moon in Libra getting this much agitation, this Valentine’s Day many of the committed may envy the single.

Whatever the state of your love life, having the power of persuasion on your side can’t hurt. Mercury sextile Mars (exact on Thursday but in effect throughout the week) should give your communications added oomph, and you might need a bit of that in your life. Never forget though that with great power comes great responsibility, and since Mars is involved, you’d better make sure that your bold statements are just you blowing off steam, and that you aren’t punching above your weight class.

The weekend provides most of us a chance to at least partly reboot our social lives, but (as with so many other things in life), timing is everything. Friday’s Moon in Scorpio certainly provides a sexy atmosphere, but it’s Void of Course long before the evening, and stays that way until Saturday… in fact, the Moon is Void until after the Sun enters Pisces early Saturday morning. If you are looking to find someone new to share your love with, it’s best to hold off until Saturday evening to begin your quest, as Moon in Sagittarius is an excellent placement for breaking the ice.

Did The Eclipse, Uranus, & A Yod Do This?

Here’s an interesting one for y’all.

We had an Lunar eclipse just occur. Videos said that it supposedly would affect my relationship axis (if I had that correct). I shrugged and thought that it wouldn’t affect me because I’m not in a relationship and have been dealing with all my drama (covered in previous posts).

Well, out of the blue, my first husband (we married when we were 16 and divorced in 1978) called me up wanting to “clear up a few things” (aka make peace). We have not spoken or seen each other since 1978, but he said he felt he needed to “get closure” about a few things that he said had been bugging him since our divorce … nearly 40 years ago! It was a nice enough conversation but the strange thing was that the things he was so stressed about and wanted to talk through, I could barely even remember! Wow. Holding on to something for 40 years … and I thought I was bad with my Scorpio Moon.

Okay, so here’s the challenge. Riddle me this Batmen and Batladies … any ideas what transits in my chart heralded this? Because if they were there, I certainly missed them.

Any ideas would be appreciated! I’m still scratching my head over this one. Wow!

Did I say WOW?!

Mars in Capricorn, Moon in Taurus Compatibility

Flickr photo by badjonni via Creative Commons license

This earthy union blends Mars in Capricorn’s authoritative actions with Moon in Taurus’ fixed needs. Capricorn will drive things forward, and Taurus will ensure their mutual security is guaranteed. The result will be a partnership that locks in and never wavers.

Mars in Capricorn knows what he wants, and is relentless in his pursuit. His approach to romance may be more determined than exciting, but once he enters into a relationship, he can reveal hidden reservoirs of passion. But it will take time and patience for his partner to convince him that it’s ok to relax. In the meantime, his ambitious nature will ensure that he works hard to make the relationship a success. Mars in Capricorn is a loyal, driven partner who takes his commitments very seriously.

Moon in Taurus needs comfort. If this reads as simplistic, know that it is merely a reflection of her no-frills nature. She knows what makes her happy and satisfied, and isn’t afraid to insist on it. Moon in Taurus feels most secure in an emotionally and financially stable relationship. Her deeply sensual and loyal nature will reward the partner who can give her these things, provided she decides he’s her type (remember, she knows exactly what she needs). However, change makes her uncomfortable, and she can refuse to budge if her lover wants something that contradicts her routine.

Moon in Taurus will be impressed with Capricorn’s proof of intent — he’ll show her exactly what he has to offer, and she’ll probably accept. Mars in Capricorn will be attracted to Taurus’ strength and stability, because he’s only interested in the sure thing. Together they’ll create a grounded relationship that moves forward, slowly and steadily (thanks to Capricorn). Moon in Taurus will gradually unlock Capricorn’s desires, while Mars in Capricorn’s predictable responses won’t push Taurus outside her comfort zone.

How do you think we get along? there is a full 12th house composite!

I like this guy, he is totally my type (strong capricorn and sagittarius signature in his chart). But i am not sure I am completely HIS type. I feel like he would like more earthy girls while I have strong air and fire signature in my chart. Plus I am concerned over the fact that our composite 12 house contains almost all the planets. What can this mean? Is it a doomed relationship? Both of our birth times are correct. I am blue he is red.

What planet as natural signifier of children?

I am wondering if there is a planet that is traditionally used as the natural signifier of children. The Moon is taken to signify mothers, the Sun (and sometimes Saturn) as fathers, but what about children? I’ve checked Ben Dyke’s Introductions to Astrology, and Ribeiro & Avelar’s book, but I haven’t found any mention of a planet signifying children, other than the lord of the fifth house, of course. Does anyone know?

Thanks!

Love Horoscope for the Week of February 6

This week offers a little something for everyone: some really helpful and constructive transits if you like taking positive action in your life, and a Lunar Eclipse if you enjoy panicking unnecessarily over things.

On Monday, Jupiter turns retrograde. Retrograde planets have a reputation for malfunctioning, but I suspect that the further a planet is from the Sun, the less emphasis we should put on it. After all, Pluto will be retrograde for close to six months this year, and I’m not expecting a lot of dead people to spring mysteriously back to life at their own funerals. So don’t worry that your good fortune and committed relationships and appreciation for comedy will tank between now and early June. Instead, worry about all the tension that will be building as the Jupiter-Uranus opposition tightens up in the next couple of months and the Jupiter-Pluto square becomes exact at the end of March.

Much of the results you get out of your human relations come about because of communication, and that should perk up this week as Mercury enters Aquarius on Tuesday. If there’s something you’ve been meaning (or need) to say, do it with a little creative flair, and your signal may be heard more clearly.

Friday brings us a Full Moon that is also a Lunar Eclipse. Eclipses get people excited (and have an effect much larger than merely affecting the day they happen on). Unless you’re the type who sits around obsessively looking at your transits every day (and not even all astrologers get that way), it’s best just to treat this as a regular Full Moon in Leo. So: plenty of edginess, moodiness and drama, but nothing that won’t blow over. Having said that: if you have anything in your birth chart closely aspecting 22 degrees Leo, there is an increased chance of drama in that area of your life in the next few months.

If your nerves have been a little frayed of late, the latter part of the week may provide a bit of a stabilizer with Sun sextile Uranus. This aspect will help you (and perhaps more importantly, those around you) get a healthy ego boost without getting too carried away with it.

Even if it just acts as a regular Full Moon, that Eclipse in Leo can set the stage for some romantic drama this weekend. Adding to the excitement is Mercury sextile Venus, which makes for ample opportunity to use your charm and creativity to make advances in your love life. If the potential wild agitation of a Full Moon in Leo doesn’t pair well with your romantic plans, aim for the gentler tones of Sunday’s Moon in Virgo.
