Love Horoscope for the Week of February 23

Astrologers inevitably end up spending a lot of time examining people’s love lives, and if there’s one thing we’ve learned over the years, it’s this: sometimes your love life issues boil down to who you’re with, and sometimes it’s largely a matter of the timing. Whatever the state of your romance is like now, this week presents some opportunities to pump things up a bit… provided you pay attention to the timing and use a little common sense. The “common sense” part may be a bit tricky, as the Saturn-Neptune square is still in play (and is joined by the Sun this week), but the romantic impulses are in full force, with both Venus and Mars now in Aries.

Normally whenever there is a Venus-Mars conjunction (which will be in effect all this week), astrologers get all excited about people getting excited. And yes, since Venus and Mars are the planets most associated with love and/or sex, that’s usually the major subject of conversation among the stargazers. Since Venus and Mars will be conjunct in Aries, you’ll be feeling a lot of urges for quick, impulsive sex, relative to how you usually feel about that sort of thing. This time is a little different from most Venus-Mars hookups though, and chances are you could get something started that might actually last… but show some caution as to which romantic target you select.

The Venus-Mars conjunction is trine Saturn in Sagittarius. This gives us a fairly rare opportunity to make all those hormonal surges lead to something a little more solid and permanent. Of course, this doesn’t necessarily have to work out in just sexual and/or romantic terms: Venus and Mars also rule social interactions. One way or another though, getting out and having a good time is highly recommended.

Now, why should you show some caution? The Sun is conjunct Neptune, and both the Sun/Neptune conjunction and Venus/Mars conjunction reach their peak in the middle of the week. A Sun/Neptune conjunction can give you that warm and fuzzy feeling of falling in love… or the warm and fuzzy feeling you get when someone hits you with a tranquilizer dart for hauling you into a cage. Don’t count on Saturn to do all the work for you: try to use a little judgment, okay?

So, all things considered, it sounds like a great weekend to get out there and start a new romantic relationship, doesn’t it? Well, not so fast: the Moon is Void of Course almost the entire day Saturday, so if you’re looking to land that new Romeo and/or Juliet in your life, better plan for Friday or Sunday.
