Love Horoscope for the Week of March 23

Congratulations on surviving last week’s Solar Eclipse and the last exact Uranus-Pluto square! I knew you’d be just fine. Just because this week looks relatively undramatic doesn’t mean you can slack off about things, though. First of all, the Uranus-Pluto square will still be in effect for about a year, and the Solar Eclipse left the last degree of Pisces (and wherever that falls in your birth chart) energized for months to come. Unusual and unexpected things could come from it when other planets transit that point in your chart.

This week’s astrological news may be less dramatic, but it’s well worth paying attention to. First of all: yes, it’s Spring in the Northern Hemisphere and the Sun has entered Aries. In my experience, what a lot of people refer to as “Spring Fever” is actually because the Sun has moved from gentle-and-deep Pisces to get-outta-my-way Aries. You yourself might notice a similar shift in your mood in the next week.

Most Mondays back at work tend to lay on your soul like a big bag of wet cement, and you can expect a particularly heavy dose of “go nowhere, do nothing” to land on your desk at the beginning of this work week, as the Moon in Taurus (which isn’t exactly the most hyper-motivated placement in the first place, frankly) is Void of Course for pretty much the entire day. Lay low, don’t make waves, and try to master the fine art of looking busy while not actually achieving anything new or brilliant. It will pass.

Venus is in Taurus, and is climbing towards the square with Jupiter, which becomes exact just in time for the weekend. Both Venus and Jupiter are considered “good guy” planets. They rule things like love and affection and fine dining and spending on luxury items and that sort of thing. So a connection between the two ought to be great, right? Well, maybe. Sure, those all sound like good things. But because these two planets are connected by a square, even their friendly energies can be a little hard to handle. You could have a great week of having fun with your friends, finding new romance, enjoying a new restaurant… or you might break your diet and go into debt financing an orgy at a buffet. The difference between the two is knowing when to apply some discernment, and when a square aspect is involved that isn’t always so easy. Enjoy your impulses but make sure you keep them on a leash of reasonable length.

Finally, throughout the week (but reaching the exact peak on Wednesday), the Sun is approaching the trine to Saturn in Sagittarius. This week might be a good time to make some practical decisions for your life, despite the fact that Saturn is retrograde. This could prove to be particularly useful if you decide to go with the “buffet orgy” option this weekend…
