Love Horoscope for the Week of April 6

With a Lunar Eclipse involving Uranus and Pluto out of the way, is it time to let the Good Times Roll yet? Well, maybe. Jupiter has been retrograde in Leo for a long time now and this week it slows down, stops, and starts going forward again. If you have any major placements in the middle degrees of the Fire or Air Signs, you’re likely to get a bit of a bounce in your life in the next week or so. However: any major placements you have in the mid degrees of Taurus or Scorpio may be subject to some temporary annoyances. Since we’re talking about Jupiter here, this is more likely to be a “too much of a good thing” annoyance rather than a “not enough” annoyance… so this is not a cause for panic, but budgeting and dieting may be called for.

Jupiter going direct, combined with a general increase in restlessness that often comes at this time of year, might make sitting at your desk at work a little harder than usual. The Moon won’t be helping at all on Tuesday and Thursday, when it is Void of Course for the second half of the day. However, if your job requires a little creative brilliance, midweek brings good news in the form of Mercury conjunct Uranus. Remember: use that for maximum effect on Wednesday when the aspect is exact, but on Tuesday and Thursday you might be better off turning your new-found genius to making excuses to get out of work early. You have your astrologer’s permission for this.

Just in time for the weekend dating scene, Venus enters Gemini on Saturday. Theoretically this may not be as “good” a place for Venus as Taurus was, but it’s a lot more approachable and sociable. And frankly, in my experience, Venus in Gemini is a lot better at casual flirting than Venus in Taurus. So if you need to pump some new juice into your love life, all you need to do is get out there and get the conversation started… literally.

Further improving your odds for romantic success this weekend is Mars sextile Neptune, which is exact on Sunday but is in effect throughout the weekend and Monday. Mars in Taurus has plenty of sensual potential but often has a hard time figuring out where and how to express it. An aspect from Neptune lends Mars just enough faith/optimism/lack of realism to go and do something with all that energy. Try to think things through in advance and use some discretion: even the humble sextile with Neptune can still make things fuzzy or weird, or potentially make a bad idea seem like a good thing. Hang onto your heart and hide your wallet.
