Love Horoscope for the Week of June 15

First of all: congratulations on having survived Mercury Retrograde! Don’t celebrate too hard just yet, though: the “shadow period” is still in effect until the 27th, so continue to show caution with your communications, contracts, and short trips.

The big aspect of this week is Jupiter trine Uranus, even though that aspect isn’t technically exact until next week. Now is the time to start taking advantage of its effects. Both Jupiter and Uranus in their own ways rule over things that are much bigger and more subtle than any mere Venus or Mars transit. Jupiter is most easily explained by calling it the planet that rules over the feeling that “God’s in his heaven and all is right with the world.” Uranus, meanwhile, is that Promethean urge we get on occasion to steal fire from the gods and make something brilliant for ourselves. So if there are any projects or relationships or ideas that you have been sitting on for some time but haven’t had the spare time or energy to address, this could be the week to get off your butt, figure them out and do something about it. Also: Venus may rule “love,” but Jupiter is the ruler of committed relationships. This transit could prove useful if you’ve got work to be done that way too.

Of course in astrology, as with most things in life, there is a distinct good side and the bad side to everything. Jupiter also rules excessiveness, and Uranus is the Planet of the Freaky. Things matching that general description are more likely to happen to you in the next week or two as well. On the other hand, if that brilliant idea of yours you haven’t done anything with yet can somehow be described as “excessive and/or freaky,” this could be your week.

The New Moon is always a good time to dedicate yourself to new projects, and Tuesday’s New Moon in Gemini also involves Mars… so this time around you might have the drive to actually get things done. This could be a new project, a new line of work, or a major course correction to your love life. Get something done, will you?

Speaking of your love life, the weekend brings some decent romantic opportunities for you. The Moon is in Leo for Friday and Saturday, and in that time it will conjunct Venus, conjunct Jupiter, and trine Uranus. All of this can be a recipe for a very good and exciting time with either someone new or someone you’re already in a relationship with. Or, maybe both. Why not? Leo loves the drama.
