A popular podcast named “Serial” came out a few months ago and it intrigued me since it was about true crime. A journalist named Sarah Koenig talked about the 1999 death of a Baltimore, MD teenager named Hae Min Lee. Hae Min Lee was strangled to death by her ex and fellow high school classmate Adnan Syed according to police. The podcast goes back and forth trying to figure out if Adnan is guilty or not. Adnan’s accomplice named Jay Wilds stated that he (Jay) helped Adnan bury Hae, but said Adnan was the killer.
The spin-off podcast titled “Undisclosed” aired in April and is currently still producing new episodes every Monday night; Undisclosed is the same as Serial and talks about whether Adnan is Hae’s killer or not. The Undisclosed podcast creator is a family friend of Adnan and has always believed he is innocent and that Jay is the actual killer and not just an accomplice.
The police stated Hae was dead by 2:36pm on Wednesday, January 13th, 1999 so I’m using that time in the chart here. I personally think she died later, but I’ll go with 2:36 since that’s the “official time of her death”.
