Scorpio: to keep or discard?

Scorpio may be the least likable sign of the zodiac…and man, they get a bad wrap in astrology. But Scorpio used to be different (at least its boundaries) and original astrology included Ophiuchus (the serpent bearer) long before the Intl Astronomers Union (IAU) in 1930 moved the constellation boundaries across the ecliptic to make Ophiuchus “again” a zodiacal sign.

Libra (the scales) was thought to been developed from rearrangement of the zodiac in ancient times, it was originally Scorpio’s “claws” and represented anyone born Sep 23-Oct 23 while Ophiuchus is for Oct 23-Nov 23 birthdates. If we have Ophiuchus and no Libra, the gender, element and nature, as well planetary rulers of the 12 signs will be greatly altered.

And there’s a threat by some astrologers to remove Scorpio from the 12-sign astrological zodiac completely and replace them with Ophiuchus, which doesn’t sit well with proud Scorpios as they take pride in belonging to the darkest zodiacal sign. Should we get rid of Scorpio or keep the fatal scorpion? Scorpios don’t hurt anyone and they’re misunderstood. :whistling:
