For those inclined to get married, there’s a subgroup that wants to start things off with a bang — the massive wedding that trumpets WE ARE GETTING MARRIED. A big wedding can be a celebration of love and/or a celebration of wealth. But the common theme is public display. Certain natal aspects (of a gay or straight man or woman) encourage this. Read on to see if you (or your partner) have the potential to go big when tying the knot.

Jupiter

Natal Jupiter is where you want to expand. In many cases, it’s where you feel optimism and faith. The following aspects or positions for natal Jupiter can suggest a big wedding:

• Jupiter in the 7th House (big relationship)
• Jupiter conjunct, square, opposite or trine the relationship planets (Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars) or ruler of the 7th House
• Jupiter in the 2nd House of earned money (big spender)
• Jupiter in the 10th House if it aspects a relationship or 7th House planet (expansion of status via the relationship)

Jupiter exaggerates. So a wedding influenced by natal Jupiter can be a mix of spending big, celebrating the giddy achievement of love and showing everyone how fabulous this union is. It will have a party atmosphere — a celebration of love that feeds your faith in the future. Jupiter aspecting the relationship planets enlarge their expression. For example, Jupiter/Sun suggests the wedding as outlet for the ego. Jupiter/Moon is the need to make everyone feel extremely happy and comfortable, plus an exaggerated expression of feelings. Moon/Jupiter people see no reason to keep their feelings hidden, and what better way to display your feelings about your future spouse?

Leo

Leo is the sign of performance and self-expression. A huge wedding is the perfect venue for someone with an emphasized natal Leo.
