Love Horoscope for the Week of February 6

This week offers a little something for everyone: some really helpful and constructive transits if you like taking positive action in your life, and a Lunar Eclipse if you enjoy panicking unnecessarily over things.

On Monday, Jupiter turns retrograde. Retrograde planets have a reputation for malfunctioning, but I suspect that the further a planet is from the Sun, the less emphasis we should put on it. After all, Pluto will be retrograde for close to six months this year, and I’m not expecting a lot of dead people to spring mysteriously back to life at their own funerals. So don’t worry that your good fortune and committed relationships and appreciation for comedy will tank between now and early June. Instead, worry about all the tension that will be building as the Jupiter-Uranus opposition tightens up in the next couple of months and the Jupiter-Pluto square becomes exact at the end of March.

Much of the results you get out of your human relations come about because of communication, and that should perk up this week as Mercury enters Aquarius on Tuesday. If there’s something you’ve been meaning (or need) to say, do it with a little creative flair, and your signal may be heard more clearly.

Friday brings us a Full Moon that is also a Lunar Eclipse. Eclipses get people excited (and have an effect much larger than merely affecting the day they happen on). Unless you’re the type who sits around obsessively looking at your transits every day (and not even all astrologers get that way), it’s best just to treat this as a regular Full Moon in Leo. So: plenty of edginess, moodiness and drama, but nothing that won’t blow over. Having said that: if you have anything in your birth chart closely aspecting 22 degrees Leo, there is an increased chance of drama in that area of your life in the next few months.

If your nerves have been a little frayed of late, the latter part of the week may provide a bit of a stabilizer with Sun sextile Uranus. This aspect will help you (and perhaps more importantly, those around you) get a healthy ego boost without getting too carried away with it.

Even if it just acts as a regular Full Moon, that Eclipse in Leo can set the stage for some romantic drama this weekend. Adding to the excitement is Mercury sextile Venus, which makes for ample opportunity to use your charm and creativity to make advances in your love life. If the potential wild agitation of a Full Moon in Leo doesn’t pair well with your romantic plans, aim for the gentler tones of Sunday’s Moon in Virgo.
