Love Horoscope for the Week of July 6

There is a fair amount of tension in the Zodiac this week, but if you’re cautious and use your head, you can survive it and possibly even take advantage of it. And bear with me, because I have good news at the end of the forecast.

Sun opposite Pluto is exact on Monday, but its effects carry on through the first part of the week. You may find yourself exposed to a lot of other people’s ego trips… and make sure you come down from your high horse every once in awhile yourself. Watch and learn from the mood these few days, because next week it will be Mars opposite Pluto and it may be much the same — except more explosive.

Mercury enters Cancer on Wednesday, and the intellectual pace slows down from the bright but sometimes scattered approach that Gemini takes. Now might be a good time to smooth over some ruffled feathers with a well-chosen sentiment or email.

Also on Wednesday (and making its effects felt throughout the week) Mars in Cancer is trine Neptune in Pisces. On the one hand, this may have a mellowing effect on the often snappish Mars in Cancer, and might help Neptune get off its butt and do something practical about all those big dreams that it has. On the other hand, if you lived with the Seven Dwarves and the only two who ever agreed on anything were Grumpy and Dopey, that wouldn’t necessarily make them right all the time, would it?

One way to deal with a week like this is to stay focused on the fun you’ll have on the weekend. Sadly, this weekend could be a mixed bag, too. Moon in Taurus for Friday and early Saturday will make for a particular appreciation for the comforts of good food and lying around binge-watching a favorite TV show. Unfortunately, Saturn shows up to mess with things during the mid-day as the Moon passes opposite that planet.

Saturday evening should be brighter and more enjoyable as Moon in Gemini lifts the mood and gives everyone the urge to socialize and be of good cheer. Nothing wrong with that, is there? Well: Sunday sees Sun square Uranus, and that aspect reigns over the entire weekend. Sun square Uranus can be great for getting out and getting your freak on, in whatever form that may take. However, there’s always a chance that the Freak will get on you. Be careful where you hang out and who you hang out with.
