Bad news for those astrologers who specialize in gloom and doom (you know who they are): overall, this week’s cosmic happenings aren’t that bad at all. Take advantage of of the forces at play and you could make great gains in your personal life, or if you choose to simply sit back and float in all the relatively good cheer, it could pass uneventfully… well, as “uneventful” as a week capped by a Full Moon in Pisces can be, anyway.
The big aspect dominating the week is Sun conjunct Jupiter in the early degrees of Virgo, which is exact on Wednesday. All else being equal, it is an easier than average time to be happy and feel well adjusted with your life. The only real warning here is for those of you with important placements in the early degrees of the Mutable Signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces) where you might find yourself relying on a sudden burst of excess to overcome some of the issues that have gone weird in your life in the last year or so, thanks to a long ongoing aspect from Neptune in Pisces. Even then, it’s hard to find bad things to say about Sun conjunct Jupiter, so who am I to complain?
Mercury enters Libra on Thursday, and thanks to an upcoming retrograde, it will be spending an unusually long stretch of time in that Sign: ten weeks in fact. Theoretically, Mercury in Libra is an excellent time to write a love letter or use your words to make peace with someone. Just remember to apply your skills to these matters before September 17th, which is when that retrograde starts, otherwise that love letter might go to the wrong recipient.
Nothing says “emotional outbursts” like a Full Moon, and on Saturday the Full Moon in Pisces will be upon us. Not just any old Full Moon either, but one aspecting both Jupiter and Neptune. Have you ever noticed there’s always that one weekend before school goes back in session when the kids are acting a little crazier than usual? This often coincides with the Pisces Full Moon. Don’t be surprised if the crowd of teenagers in front of your local convenience store is louder and more obnoxious than usual this weekend. This Full Moon is wired for strong feelings all around… and if you’re seeking or engaged in romantic pursuits, this Saturday’s energy could be incredibly productive.
But as always when dealing with humans, be cautious. A little emotion is a good thing, but an overdose can make a mess of things. You might want to follow some old-school advice about Full Moons and carry some silver bullets with you just to be safe…
