Love Horoscope for the Week of January 11

Given that it’s normally a pretty dull stretch this time of year, it’s natural to liven things up with some idle daydreams about romance. Fortunately, the astrological conditions are right to not only encourage such imaginings, but to make make something more real come of it. Whether you like it sweet or spicy, we’ve got something in store for you!

Venus in Sagittarius faces some interesting challenges and opportunities this week, and thus many of us can expect a wild ride in both our love lives and finances. The first part of the week sees Venus build towards a trine with Uranus, which is exact on Tuesday. You may find that your love life sparks up and offers more opportunities, and perhaps even a previous relationship may come back into play. It’s a good time to pump some new life into an existing romance.

Just as exciting (but a lot less stable) is Venus square Jupiter in Virgo, which kicks in during the second half of the week (although it’s not exact until next Monday). You may feel like pouring your heart and/or wallet out all over someone, and admittedly that sort of thing can be a lot of fun. But (literally or figuratively) can you afford it? Try to use a little discernment, which may not be easy… the square is a particularly compelling aspect.

In the meantime, don’t forget that Mercury is still retrograde, so be careful with your spelling and proofreading and agreements and the like. Also (particularly in light of this week’s Venus action), odds are improved that you’ll hear from an ex, or have a second shot at a relationship that almost came together or has stayed on the back burner previous to this. Try to use some sound judgement and don’t think with your… um… Venus.

Meanwhile, isn’t it a little suspicious that Mars in Scorpio isn’t up to anything? Well, he is… quietly building to a trine to Neptune in Pisces. It could be a great time for making your dreams come true, especially your more sexual dreams. Although that aspect isn’t exact until next week, it’s well within range to make some real excitement happen on the weekend… especially when you consider that Moon in Aries on Saturday is conjunct Uranus. Don’t plan for anything particularly “warm and romantic” so much as for “spicy and adventurous.”
