By now you’ve probably seen that thing going around on Facebook about how all the visible planets are lined up in one quarter of the sky. It’s true — and it’s worth getting up early to see if the skies are clear — but the biggest news this week is how those inner (or “personal”) planets interact with the outer planets to generate big results.
Monday features a useful aspect that (I admit) I don’t mention very often: the quintile. Quintiles represent an opportunity to be creative and to put old elements together in new ways. Monday’s Sun quintile Uranus is an ideal opportunity to rearrange your attitude towards others in your environment, and perhaps to rearrange their attitudes as well.
If you’re stuck at work this week and feel like most of the action worth mentioning is on the weekend, for once the Zodiac seems to be agreeing with you. The two biggest aspects this week are exact on Saturday and Sunday — just in time to lend some dramatic flair to your weekend dating scene.
On Saturday (but in effect a few days before and afterwards) Venus sextile Neptune becomes exact. Venus sextile Neptune is about as sweet and soft as an aspect can get. Under the circumstances it’s easy to get caught up in romantic daydreaming, and that sort of thing is great… but why not put it to practical use and find someone to dream with? That may require some bold words, and that’s where the week’s other big aspect comes in handy.
On Sunday, Mercury is conjunct Pluto (but again, is still in range a couple of days before and after). Whereas Venus-Neptune is a beauty, this conjunction can be kind of a beast… but a useful one. Mercury conjunct Pluto can be a powerhouse of new ideas and outspokenness. Sometimes obstacles in your personal life require brave words or bold action, and this conjunction is great for that. One warning though: although Mercury stopped its retrograde on Sunday, it is still in what is called the shadow period for a couple of weeks yet. Make sure those bold ideas are proofread properly and mailed to the right recipient.
Finally, if you want to use all these energies correctly, timing is everything. The Moon is Void of Course pretty much all day in Libra on Saturday, which makes that a better day for doing maintenance on an existing relationship. Sunday, however, the Moon is in Scorpio… giving the emotional tone just the edge you might need to get something new and exciting started.
