Venus is getting a lot of action this week, and that’s generally good news for a Romance Forecast — at least, it is if it’s your job to write one. Actually making your personal life run smoothly this week could prove to be a fair bit trickier. As an astrologer, it’s my job to help people make sense of their lives based on both their birth charts and (at least as importantly) the transits. Usually that’s fairly straightforward. But to be honest with you all, this week is a total head-scratcher for me, and it probably will be for you, too. This week, the agitation and confusion comes from a rather unexpected direction: Venus. That’s right: Little Miss Sweetness is up to some serious shenanigans this week.
But before we get into the Venus story… good news! You have permission from your astrologer to skip work this Monday. The Moon goes Void of Course early in the morning and remains that way for almost a full day. Your boss will understand, I’m sure.
Now, Venus. First of all, Venus in Aries is generally considered to be a debilitated placement: in theory, Venus does her best work by lying around and looking good, not by riding into battle. Venus in Aries does “bold” a lot better than she does “demure.” Venus in Aries comes with a slight touch of hyperactivity, and this week’s transits won’t exactly give her the wise guidance she could use.
This week, the Goddess of Love gets boosted and agitated in all sorts of directions this week. Early in the week, you’ll have the chance to either blow your love life to smithereens, or assemble it in a more sensible form… or what the heck, why not both? Venus in Aries is trine Saturn on Monday and square Pluto on Tuesday, but the effects of both will extend throughout most of the week. And here you thought all the emphasis on Venusian matters (love, romance, food, and so on) was because the Sun enters Taurus on Tuesday.
Knowing which of these Venus urges to deal with — preserve or destroy — could prove a little confusing. If you feel like preserving the state of your love life as it is, the partnership-oriented feel of Moon in Libra on Tuesday and Wednesday will lend you a hand. If you feel like stirring up trouble, make sure it isn’t the Full Moon late Thursday/early Friday that’s pushing you in that direction.
In either case, if you’d like your love life to be a little more interesting or unusual, aim for a date on Friday, when Venus is conjunct Uranus. Strange and exciting (and possibly somewhat weird) opportunities will abound for you. If you want your excitement to be with someone new, your odds are better on Friday than on Saturday, when the Moon is Void of Course throughout the evening. Both Friday and Saturday feature Moon in Scorpio, so in any event the results could be pretty intense.
