Love Horoscope for the Week of February 1

Remember that cheesy old 1980s tune, “Everybody’s Working For The Weekend?” This week’s transits are a bit like that: all the fun happens towards the end of the week. And oh my, what fun it will be… but don’t get carried away, because the work week comes first.

Although the exact aspect was on Sunday, Mercury square Uranus is still an influence on the first part of the week. You may come up with some brilliant and innovative ideas, or you might just be totally out of your tree. Either way, the impulsiveness of Mercury square Uranus means you should try to use a little restraint with how freely you open your mouth about things.

Overall, the week is dominated by Mars sextile Pluto, which is the exact on Wednesday. Any aspect between Mars and Pluto can potentially be explosive, but at least the sextile is relatively tame and easy to manage. If you are willing to make the effort to make the major changes that you know you need to make, the middle of this week is an excellent time to do so. Be careful that you don’t step on too many toes. Wednesday in particular also favors new projects, as Sun sextile Saturn can give anything you initiate added staying power. So again: choose your target wisely.

But as I said earlier: the weekend is the real star of the show this week. Sun sextile Uranus is excellent for socializing, meeting and greeting, networking, and generally putting yourself out there. Mercury trine Jupiter will also tend to make your thoughts and words flow more easily. If you find you suffer from the classic condition where you start stuttering and stammering whenever you’re trying to flirt with someone, this weekend you may be surprised at your own skill.

All of this is great news if you’re looking to finance a business or hire someone or something like that, but what about love? Okay, more specifically: what about sex? Once again, a sextile is the star of the show: in this case, Venus sextile Mars. Just as any Mars/Pluto aspect tends to make things more explosive, any Venus/Mars aspect tends to amplify the sex drive. Just to seal the deal, Moon in Capricorn is conjunct Venus and Pluto, and sextile Mars. With this many green lights for your love life, it would be a shame to miss out. So get out there and work it!
