It’s always refreshing for me when writing a Love Horoscope when Venus and Mars are the biggest players for the week. Sure, Jupiter and Saturn get plenty of attention when they’re on the move (and one ignores them at one’s peril), but please… Love is awesome, am I right? And this week there are plenty of opportunities to improve and upgrade your love life (or get one in the first place) thanks to some useful aspects to Venus during the week, and a Sign change for Mars on the weekend.
The early and middle parts of the week feature a couple of useful Venus aspects. Venus sextile Saturn (exact on Monday) is an excellent time to sweep all the messy, uncontrolled, and unsettled parts of your love life into one big pile and assemble them into something more functional. If you aren’t in a relationship, it’s a good time to make a game plan to get one.
Secondly, Venus sextile Uranus (exact on Wednesday) is a great opportunity to pump the gas on your romance. Have things gotten a little stale and predictable? Looking for a fling? Uranus is the planet of the wild and unpredictable, but it’s worst features are contained when a nice stable sextile is involved. Make a fantasy come true, get that makeover, or just do things differently with your love life and opportunities for success will present themselves.
Things get busy for Date Night on the weekend, with two planetary Sign changes. First off, Mercury enters Pisces early Saturday. Mercury — the planet of language and logic — isn’t always served well by the roiling emotional waters of Pisces: normally, Mercury likes things a little more orderly. However, Mercury in Pisces can be fantastic for heartfelt conversation and composing love letters and taking short trips with a loved one. Use your reasoning skills to calmly and logically figure out what your love life needs… then dream it into being.
Mars enters Sagittarius late Saturday. The planet most associated with the sex drive, combined with the Sign of the Adventurous Cowboy, could make for a wild ride. If what you want is a little more spice or variety or adventure, Mars in Sagittarius is just what you need. If you’d rather have things a little more sane and stable with your drive, well…. thanks to a retrograde in mid-April, you’ve got another month and a half of Cowboy Mars action, followed by a return visit to Scorpio. In fact, if you crave the common sense and stability of Mars in Capricorn, you’re going to have to wait until late September.
Other than that, the Moon is in Aquarius for Saturday and Sunday, so at least you’ll have a chance to get out and socialize and do a little mixing and mingling. Make the most of it!
