This week: the two planets most in charge of your sex drive (Venus and Mars) both undergo Sign changes this week, and that culminates in a difficult square this weekend. Sorry… make that “a difficult but really sexy square.”
Your Human Relations will be influenced early in the week by Venus in Libra trine Uranus. This will lend a little spark to your flirting and a little creativity to your romantic gestures. Even though the aspect was exact Sunday evening/early Monday morning, it’s still strong enough to make the banter at work a little more lively until about Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Mars enters Sagittarius. Mars in Scorpio may have had a lot of sexual intensity going for it, but to be honest? That energy can be hard to work with if you’re in the early stages of a relationship (unless one-night stands count as “a relationship”). Mars will be in Sagittarius until near the end of September, and during that time you’ll likely have the urge to get out and have fun a little more than usual — and that’s how a lot of relationships start.
If you want to improve the quality of your love life (or of anything else in your life), you’d do well to sit down and think out the actual, practical changes you’d like to see in yourself. Tuesday’s New Moon in Leo is an excellent opportunity to do just that. Friday sees Venus enter Virgo. Forget what you may have heard about Venus in Virgo being a “debilitated placement,” and forget those stereotypes about virginal wallflowers. Venus in Virgo may play her feelings a little close to the vest, but it can be an incredibly sexy placement. Since Virgo is ruled by Mercury, there is a case to be made here for your love life being more responsive to conscious planning and deliberate seduction strategies in the next three weeks before it enters Libra and then starts wondering where that marriage proposal is…
Friday night may be the big Party Night of the week, and not just because the weekend has started. Moon conjunct Jupiter is often a good time for a night out, but this Friday evening the Moon is also occulting Jupiter, which turns the volume up on the party vibe to eleven. Make sure you hang on to your wallet, and possibly your heart, because Venus square Mars is now in effect!
The Venus-Mars square is exact on Saturday, and is in effect for the next few days. The natures of Virgo and Sagittarius can be a tough blend to make work, but one thing that’s for sure is that any Venus-Mars square will do wonders for your sex drive… and the drives of others too. Just use a little caution when it comes to who you pair up with: Mercury opposite Neptune (exact on Sunday) isn’t known for making the smartest decisions for itself.
