Hello. I was reading an article in a magazine about this pregnant woman who was afflicted with inter-uterine growth delay. She said her doctor told her that her baby would have skin that was droopy, dry, and crinkly.
Now, I would have said skin was that wrinkly. I wonder about the differences between “crinkle” and “wrinkle”. I think that “wrinkle” is more specific, that it can only be used to describe creases in human skin, whereas “crinkle” is more general, and can be applied to humans as well as inanimate objects such as paper (the paper is crinkled".
